performance works


Over the last four years we have made many experiments in live film performance. We have worked with slide projectors, 8mm, overhead projectors, 16mm, and mixtures of all and sundry!


We often improvise performances but always within specific structural and conceptual ideas.


“The pair craft an amazing blend of ’60s trance-inducing psychedelic imagery via 16 and 35mm projectors backed by some of the best original/live soundtrack exploration we’ve heard in a while. They create a web of soundscape work mixing in everything from string drones to gamelan music to throat singing. One minute I’d look back at the projectors and see a hand dangling a kaleidoscope pendulum in front of the lamp. Then at the onset of a beautiful screeching sound, I’d look back and see a man grinding an instrument against the spinning film reels.”
